So do ovulation test lie?!?!

I'm absolutely distraught. I'm just come back from an appointment. 4 months ago I was prescribed 100mg clomid days 2-6 and in months 2 and 3 had bloods done. During the months I used clear blue opk. So month one I got a smiley flashing face and a constant peak smiley face month 2 nothing and had blood test done on day 21. Month 3 bought the cheaper test and got a smiley face and went for blood test day 21. Month for smiley face. 
I explained today to my gynocologist that I've had terrible sweats, mood swings and pains in my ovaries. He said my bloods have come back that I've not ovulated in months 2 and 3 but will give me 2 more months of clomid. It will then be Ivf but they will have to take out my left tube first as its blocked and will reduce eptopic pregnancy. 
I'm just in shock I believed I've been ovulating 😓

On eBay one step do 30miu tests. They're about £5 for 40 tests. Type into the search box 30miu ovulation tests

I think it's because most opk's are like pregnancy tests sensitivity wise. Like my one step ones are 20 miu. So if there's that amount of lh in your wee then it will turn positive. Yet for confirmed ovulation with blood has to be 30 miu or more. I got caught out with this too. Look for lh straps with 30 miu sensitivity. Hope this helps

I get a positive OPK every single month, and I mean a darker line than the control line but blood work has shown that I don't always ovulate. How unfair.

I got ovulation pains and smiley faces on two occasions and I thought I was ovulating. However bloodwork showed my lh was at the level of a menopausal woman, which means I didn't actually ovulate. I was shocked and disappointed. I feel for you girl.

I'm I just finished round 2 of clomid, at 100 mg, waiting for bloodwork results.
