Why have Unprotected Sex?

So I got a question for all the underaged girls on this app that have unprotected sex. Now I'm not calling y'all hoes or whatever, but y do you guys have unprotected sex, when you haven't even graduated high school yet? Is it because it feels better? It's the easiest way to just have sex on the spot with no waiting for someone to go out and buy protection? Or is it because you guys are too shy to buy protection? I hope that's not the reason because you're allowed to buy condoms or pills or whatever without your parent's knowledge. I'm seriously curious as to why so many girls on here have unprotected sex. For those of you living in California, here's a little paper I got from sex ed.

EDIT: my bf just went out and bought condoms from rite aid. He's 16. Told you it's not an issue to buy them at the counter.

Too many girls are embarrassed to ask for things. I know I was. Not every time I had sex was unprotected. But I got lucky. And to be honest, the one time I was the safest, using a condom and being on birth control, I got pregnant. I was 16. It's a choice. And many people make the wrong ones before they make the right ones. It takes consequences for many girls to see what they should do different.

Well, I'm not underage, but I have unprotected sex even though we're not TTC and I had unprotected sex in high school.
Unfortunately, I am very allergic to condoms. I have yet to find a brand of condoms that doesn't make my vagina feel like it has rug burn for the following several days. Along with this, every birth control I've been on has made me a psycho bitch who can't control her hormones.
I'm not exaggerating. Both forms of contraceptives are so painful for me in their own ways. I want to look more into IUDs and other non-hormone contraceptives, but have not yet.

I'm 16, almost 17. I get what you're saying. It's completely dumb and unnecessary to have sex without protection. Like you said: you can get protection without your parents knowing! True. The only time I had sex without protection was because we were not planning it and we both didn't have any type of protection but I took plan B the day after. Now, I always carry spermicide folds and condoms just in case. Lots of girls are ashamed to go out and buy protection or, if not, they do not have enough money for it, or if worse, the partner makes them do it without protection and that's rape!. I'm very concerned about having sex and even my friends tell me I'm "too prepared". I always see my options and even try to use 2+ forms of protection. I agree with you; but it's not only us, it's not only to prevent pregnancy, it's to prevent AIDS and lots of other bad things. I agree with you, I agree that if we're not even prepared to go out and buy or ask for protection without being ashamed WE ARE NOT READY TO HAVE SEX.

Idk girl, idk. It's stupidity at its finest. And they will get what's coming to them if they are using no protection at all. What really irks me is when they don't have protected sex then they ask if they can be pregnant. Like, duh? Lol or when they do get pregnant and then wonder how it happened🤔 don't have sex if you can't be mature about it and don't have UNprotected sex if you can't handle the consequences.

Firstly, I just found it funny how you said your not calling anyone hoe's or whatever because having unprotected sex doesn't make you a hoe anyway. Secondly, they make their choices and they deal with the consequences. That's the answer really, everyone including teenagers are going to make stupid choices and learn from then. Shouldn't affect your life in any way what they're doing

I know that some boys are stubborn and refuses to wear protection, and of course the girl goes along because she doesn't want to look stupid. And my honest opinion I think pregnancy is taken as a joke to some younger girls. When I was in school all I heard was "I might be pregnant" "we had unprotected sex" blah blah. It's like a game of some type. I don't think young girls are educated enough, they don't understand what they might not finish school, they can lose friends, raise the baby alone, and disappoint their parents. And young boys need to stop being so immature and wrap it up. "it feels better" is not a reason to go on without one. Yes it is possible to have a baby young and be successful, I know people personally that had babies young and they are fine in life. BUT most of them say if they could go back and change it they would. They wish they had waited and experienced being a teenager. And most of them are not with the father. I'm sorry but it's true. What happens at 15 may or may not be forever. I have been with my husband since I was 15 but we waited to have a baby because you never know.

Question: do you also define unprotected sex as not using a condom but using the pill or an IUD or the rod or something? Or does that count as protected? And I mean if you only have one sexual partner.

Girls that age think they're invincible and think that pregnancy or STDs won't happen to them. They just really don't care (not all, obviously, but many).
