Cloth Diapering... Pail?

Hey Cloth Diapering mamas!

Do you use a diaper pail for your cloth diapers until you wash them? Or how do you handle the dirty cloth diapers?

From what I've researched it's best to get a wet bag or two and keep them there until you wash them.

I prefer not to use the pail because it's not breathable and kinda gross. What I've used is a breathable bag from CreeksideKid on etsy. They have serveral sizes and colors. I hung it in the washroom but later bought a tall basket with a lid (also breathable) the key is let air get to them while they wait for washing so not to let bacteria grow.

We have cloth diapered for 3 years now and have a pail we use. I do have a lid and keep it closed although you do need to spray them off once they either use formula or start solids. I wash every other day but have enough diapers to go way longer. We only use one brand which is Lalabye Baby. We also use wet dry bags when we are out and about.

I throw them down my laundry shoot that lands in a big plastic bin. Still exclusively breast feeding so the smell is not an issue yet, might have to invest in some sort of closed pail once we start solids. Or might just get a sprayer and spray off immediately and then throw down shoot. Not sure. But for time being they just go into the laundry room until I'm ready to wash!
