proper age to have sex?

would you recommend waiting until after high school to start having second or to just get it over with? I'm a junior, and haven't had sex yet. I'm just curious.

Hi! I'm Australian so I don't know how old juniors are haha! I'm 17 and I haven't had sex but two of my closest friends have. One of them is fine and has a happy relationship going on but the other one just found out that her so called 'boyfriend' just used her for sex and left and she's really upset, it's been 2 months and she still hasn't come out of it. So I guess what I'm saying is wait until you're mature enough and make sure you're doing it with the right person that won't go past your comfort zone. Idk if that helped haha but yeah that's what I think :)

I agree, no need to rush. Do it when you want to, since you've already waited this long you might as well wait for someone you really like. I had sex at 14 and I don't regret it but it probably wasn't the best decision. Although I was with the guy 4 years after that.

I was a junior before the summer I'm still a virgin also. I honestly think you should do what you want. It's your body.  You shouldn't have to consider having sex because your friends did it. Just do what you will. Although you won't have to worry about a pregnancy scare during high school.

Whatever time you're ready! Just be sure to be safe. I'm 15 and lost my virginity in January of this year. I thought it'd be a good idea to get on birth control. If you're 100% wanting and feeling ready to have sex, go for it.

I think 17+ is ideal as the minimum. If you're older and still a virgin, that's completely fine!! Nothing wrong with that at all. Find someone who means the world to you first
