Help: Won't keep rocking! We have have tried batteries and plugging it in. It says to select the speed setting first, then push the swing and it will keep rocking... But it doesn't. Everything else works except that... Ideas?

Is it a Graco seat? We got a Graco swing as a gift for my daughter last year. When she was 2 months, it stopped swing, even with new batteries. It's not the plug in kind. I called Graco and told them what happened and that it was a gift so I didn't have a receipt. She emailed me a printable return label, and I sent it back for them it inspect to see if it was a manufacturing defect, and then they sent me a new one. Didn't have to pay a thing.

Maybe because it senses there is nothing in the seat. Try placing a bag of flour in the seat and see if it works then.

I would just exchange it. If they have one in the store on display,  see if that one does it or if any of the employees know anything or can help you
