My boyfriend and I have just argued for 4 and a half hours over a fucking chair.
At the minute we have a chair in our bedroom and we want to move it into the living room, I was in my sons room in the middle of sorting out the clothes that don't fit him anymore and my boyfriend comes in and says that I need to stop what I'm doing and immediately come and help him move this chair, I told him to wait five minutes while I finish what I'm doing and I would help him straight afterwards ans he went on to argue for 4 and a half hours about how I should of dropped what I was doing and helped him then and there, I'm in the right here right? So stupid I know 😂

Sounds like he was probably mad about something else and he was using the chair as a pretext to argue with you

My husband would never expect me to drop everything just like that if I'm busy. He always asks me if I would let him know when I'm finished cause he needs my help. I do the same

He couldn't move a chair by himself?? You were right! It's not like the house was on fire. My father in law is like that! I saw him once wake up my mother in law to slice him a piece of bread because she forgot to do it for him before falling asleep. She has to stop doing whatever she is doing to help him. When he was visiting us I prepared the coffee machine for him and I told him that he just has to push the button. In the morning he was furios with me for waking up at 8 because he was up at 5 and he had no coffee. I asked him why he didn't press the button and he said "THAT IS A WOMAN'S JOB ". I got so mad I told my SO that I would never be OK with him behaving like that. And he never does because he hates his father's behavior too.
