Had my 39 week appointment today (due date 7/11). They threw in a growth ultrasound to check girl #2 weight (yay!) but that's about where all the fun ended.....baby girl is weighing in at 7 pounds 12 ounces (only 2 ounces behind what big sister was when she was born passed her due date) and then the scan was showing her at 1 week behind what she should be. Last week my cervix was still a closed up shop but I've been suffering with serious cramping/contractions off and on, pelvic pressure even into my butt, and serious waddles so I was sure this week would show lots of progress especially with due date so close. My precious Doctor comes in to do a check of my cervix.....yeah, I'm a 1 😩 then he proceeds with "she'll for sure be over 8 pounds by the time she gets here, no big deal, and since she is measuring a week behind we will let her go and can discuss other methods of getting her here after July 19th".......what the absolute F? I think I'm just whiny, miserable, and the fact this baby is extremely long and I'm short isn't helping....then top it off with my husband dying laughing because he finds it so funny that I'm suffering and she hasn't come yet.
