Babies father attempted suicide

My babies father recently attempted suicide and im not really sure what think the reason he did it was because his girlfriend broke up with him and not sure what to do or even say it hurts that he would take his life over some girl and not even think about his daughter and he made a post on facebook and he didn't even take responsibility for his actions im so frustrated and upset and have no clue what to do at all
