PMS=Ovulation?

Becka • Student and stay at home wife. Currently TTC baby #1. Starting assisted conception in June.
Is it true that you won't get PMS symptoms unless you have ovulated? I never received a positive opk this month but my breasts started hurting two days ago like they tend to before my period. AF due on the 10th and this was our first cycle of clomid. Any advice would be appreciated!
