Children wearing make up??

In my honest opinion I think it's disgusting! A girl I know has just posted a picture of her child going to a school disco with a Michael kors bag & a face full of make up. The child is 6/7. Why?? When there older your going to wish they was young again. I just don't get it. Just let kids be kids. And the other week she was at the hairdressers having foil highlights in her hair. Maybe it's just me but I really don't understand it at all!

I don't mind it for very special occasions or like some lipstick when they want to be like mommy lol... But I don't think it's appropriate for everyday and a six year old getting highlights is outrageous

If I had a girl she would definitely not be getting her hair dyed at 7. Full on makeup? No. Maybe some lip gloss and painted finger nails for dress up but that's it. You are only little for a fraction of your life. Let them worry about their looks later. A 6 year old shouldn't feel like they need all that to be pretty.

I wore makeup for dance recitals when I was that age and played dress up with lipstick but otherwise I didn't start wearing everyday makeup until I was 16. I definitely wouldn't put full face makeup on my daughter, but lipstick is fun and colorful for recitals or playing on the rare occasion. I definitely wouldn't dye my little ones hair!!

Kids are kids , I would let my daughter wear make up if she asked but not on a daily basis . We could play dress up for a day or go on a spa day , as the foils in her hair , I would let my child get some color if she asked , idk I just feel like as long as the kid is happy and having a good time then I see no problem

Little kids are curious! I nannied a 6 year old who asked me to help her put a little makeup on for fun. I though nothing of it. It was fun,  and we got to spend a little time just us and bonding.

I got full face make up for special occasions at that age. I was a flower girl and my aunt got my hair done, with highlights and full make up. In my family it's been tradition to give a girl her first "make up" kit when she enters middle school (not sure how that started)
