Told me to change my son on the bathroom floor

My friend came into town from another state for a work related function and took a few hours to visit with me. I drove 40 minutes with my 3 month old who she was meeting for the first time to see her. She rented a loft with 5 other Co workers. When I got there I asked her if I could come in and go to the restroom and change my baby's diaper and she responded with "Uhmmm I guess, but you need to change his diaper in the bathroom, I don't want you stinking up our place." He didn't even go number 2, so I thought she was way out of line. Is this rude? I understand people with kids think differently but did she actually expect me to lock myself in a stuffy bathroom and put my baby on a dirty floor like that? What are your thoughts and how would you have reacted??
