I'm asking because I'm considering getting a fetal Doppler but I'm ask afraid it may make me more stressed if I can't get it to work properly etc.

Answer

I personally didn't get one and totally felt okay without it.  I felt complete peace about my rainbow baby.  Especially once I could start feeling him move.  I didn't want to cause myself stress in case I couldn't find his heartbeat at any point, and there also aren't any studies done on long-term effects of regular doppler use.  It's probably fine but I just didn't feel the need for it.  But other mamas might feel different.
