Two Chemical Pregnancies, One TBA

Bethany

My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive for a year and a half. We thought we'd finally done it 11 months in, but it was a chemical pregnancy, and I started bleeding at 5 weeks 7 days. This one tore us up. Neither of us had experienced a miscarriage, and we were confused and angry at the universe for taking our baby back.

Fast forward 5 months to April, and we get another set of faint positives. In the first picture below, you see my testing every day/other day just to see and make sure my baby is growing. My lines were never very dark, but my HCG did reach 500 at least. At 6 weeks and 2 days, I started bleeding. We were sad, but not as broken as the time before. After this loss, the doctor decided to put me on Progesterone supplements to help my body produce enough of the hormone to allow the embryo to implant and grow into our child.

The second photo is at not even 5 weeks pregnant with a BIG, FAT, DARK POSITIVE!

I'm so hopeful, but scared to assume I'll have a child at the end of this. It's something most take for granted- I certainly did the first time.

Here's to hoping for a rainbow BABY!
