Yes, I know I'm petty.
Before people start judging me, I know I'm being petty about this but hey, isn't that what the rant group is for? I don't know how it is around the rest of the county or the world but it really bugs me that in the southern United States people, for the most part, completely ignore baby registries all together and just get the mom to be a cute outfit for the baby. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with whatever anyone wants to get me but I made a baby registry for a reason. I already have 4 drawers filled with hand me down baby clothes that have been given to me by friends, family, and coworkers. I made 3 registries at three different places and all of them contain only stuff that I absolutely need like bottle cleaning supplies, baby shampoo, prefold cloth diapers, boppy pillows, etc. My baby shower is in 3 days and only one thing has been bought off of my registries and that is the stroller I asked for which is being given to me by my husbands aunt because she won't be attending the shower due to a birthday trip she is taking to France. I don't think people who haven't had kids yet realize that a lot of new baby clothes end up staying put away with tags still on them, especially when the mom already has a closet full of hand me downs.
