Has anyone went to an early gender ultrasound? Is it worth it?

I am from Wisconsin and there is a place that offers a regular ultrasound or a 3D ultrasound at 16 weeks to find out the gender of your baby. Everybody I know who has had a baby has done it and it's accurate. I'm just wondering if it is worth it? Or should I wait until I'm 20 weeks at the doctors? I'm so impatient. Opinions please.

I did at 16 weeks! It was right for me and was confirmed again at my anatomy scan too!

I had one done at 15 weeks and it was very accurate for my baby boy. My second I had it done at 17 weeks and she's a girl. :)
They usually offer packages at 3D/4D/HD places. For both of my babies we had it done and went with the package that included a DVD of the whole ultrasound, a CD with all the pictures (so we could upload to the computer or have printed at CVS) and a recording of the heartbeat. :)

It cost us around $175-$200 but I love it and I found it so worth the money. :)

My appointment is set for 15 weeks 3 days at a 3D/4D place so I'm hoping so!! 😊 most places offer a return policy that if they can't tell you that day they let you come back with no extra fees

I went to a place that offers gender determination ultrasounds at 14 weeks. They told me they were 99% sure I'm having a girl, but I wasn't sure since it was so early. I had another ultrasound at 18 weeks with my doctor and they confirmed that it's a girl.

I'm currently 16w 4d and waiting for my 20th week ultrasound (the only one I'm getting BTW) and if they don't tell me the gender, I'm going to a 3D place instead.

We actually found out the sex of our baby via 3D ultrasound at our OBGYN's office at 16 weeks. I guess everywhere is different though.

The ultrasaund technician never told me the gender of the baby at the 20 week ultrasaund. She said they are not allowed to do that. I know she just didn't want to tell me because everyone else is finding the sex at that time.
