Horse riding whilst pregnant... what are your views?

If you're a long term rider Riding your horse I think it's okay. I wouldn't go on a random horse or if you aren't experienced.

Even a well trained and perfectly tempered horse can get spooked by something and throw the most experienced rider off, soooo I would say no just for that risk

We mountain bikes well into the third trimester. You know your limits.

I personally wouldn't even if you know what you're doing leant take but a second for a horse to freak out and throw you off and hurt you and baby or kill baby

I'm 24 weeks and as soon as I found out I was pregnant I won't ride.  Even the best horse something can happen.  I won't take a chance.  I love my horse to death and love riding him but I love my baby more.  The horse will still be around after baby arrives.

I did ride but fell off at 6 weeks. It put me off. He's such a placid pony normally but shows how easy it is for accidents to happen x

The risk isn't the actual riding, but if you fall or get thrown off you can miscarry or have a stillbirth.

I believe we know our own limits! I horse ride, and carried on until I was about 25 weeks.. I hoped to carry on for longer but my horse is only young, and is very fresh still, so I didn't trust that it was safe with him being so jumpy! If your feeling safe enough and your horse is steady, I say go for it! You know your body and you know your horse☺️
