Mothers & Fathers of black children...

I have a kind of sensitive question.. I'm white, my husband is black. We have a son together. We are having a debate of sorts.... And I want to just take a poll to see who's right. Do you and/or your families call your kids "lil n***as"? Personally, I don't use the word. I feel it's disrespectful. I don't want my son to be running around calling anybody that, either. My husband says I'm overreacting, and that every black family does it, and that I should embrace my black side. Now, one thing I'll give him is he's right when he says "every other race will always view our son as a n***a, we might as well call him that so he doesn't get offended by it later in life." I apologize if this comes across as rude, but this is something I truly want & need to know.
