I was at the hospital 2 days ago at 4 weeks, 5 days pregnant (not related to pregnancy). Because I AM pregnant they did included hcg in the blood work and did and ultrasound. My HCG was 143 which I know is within the normal range, but on the lower end. They didn't see anything at all on the ultrasound. They told me to see my ob and get another blood draw in 48 hours and have them rule out an ectopic. My ob said he can't see me because until my pregnancy is confirmed viable, it's a gynecology issue (he only accepts my insurance for ob, not gyn). Now I don't know what to do and I'm concerned there is something wrong. I'm going to call my insurance today and see if they can tell me where to go.

Is it normal to not see anything at 4 weeks 5 days (I'm 5 weeks today)? Is my hcg being 143 a bad sign? Please offer your insight.
