How essential is nursery for the first year? Did you use it alot? To change? Breastfeeding? Please share what you think

I've been seeing alot of posts that say they barely use the nursery. Even though it's a very enjoyable part of preparing for your little bean, how essential is it?

My daughter moved into her room at 4 weeks answer used it for everything after that.

We didn't use the nursery for the first 3 months while the baby slept in a bassenet in our room. After that I've used it for everything. Night breastfeeding sessions, changing table, etc.

We live in a two story so I had a second changing table down stairs that was WAY handy for the 1st 6 months. I was changing a lot of diapers in the beginning and it was easier than going up and down the stairs all day long. Now we just use the changing table in the nursery.

It's all going to depend on what you're comfortable with and your circumstances. Our crib was on back order (blessing in disguise) so we had to have baby sleep in our room. This time around I'll probably put baby in his room around 1 month.

Depends on how long you want them in your room. My daughter is 11 months and has slept in our room the whole time. Not in our bed. But in her crib. But we have to share a room for right now.

You can definitely live without it but I personally like having a room for all there things and well it's just fun to do a nursery!!
