Is it normal to lose weight towards the end of pregnancy??

At my Dr apt on the 6th I was 158 pounds, at the apt on the 11th I was 156 pounds, today on the 16th I weigh 153 is it normal? I am 38+2 today.

Same weight status and we're due the same day! Hello, twin ;-) I was 158 at the beginning of July and over my last 2 appts I've lost 5 lbs. Totally fine..plus it feels good to see that number go down instead of up for a change.

I lost 4 lbs since yesterday. I was really swollen yesterday and it's back to normal today so I think it was all water weight.

I lost about 3 lbs between my appointment at 36+5, and my appointment at 37+5. I'm now 38+1, but don't keep track of my weight at home, and the next time I see my doctor will be to have my baby. From what I hear, yes- it is completely normal and a common occurrence.

I lost weight at my last appointment, she sent me for a nst to make sure everything was okay. I'm now 3.5 cm dilated & 90% effaced!! Hoping labor comes soon!

Yep it's normal. My weight leveled out and now I'm really slowly losing. Baby is growing perfectly still.
