Help me please

So last January 2015 i got a depo shot [ biggest mistake ever] but any ways my periods atared in april 2016 and i had a period may 25-28 no period till july 8 th was a very light period so my question is could i be pregnant any have this happen to you?? I started birth control pill july 10th dr said do it for one cycle and see if it help me concieve well very first time one the pill been bd every other night.
