Wine and Champagne to start labor?

Has anyone tried it or ever heard of it to work? 39 weeks today.

I tried to drink a glass of wine the other night after reading some posts, I started getting anxiety. Like what if I go into labor and I'm drunk lol,
So I only had about 1/3 of the glass and forgot about it. Can't have any fun these days.

Im 40 weeks 1 day I tried it this week. Didn't work.

I've read that alcohol was used in the past to stop preterm labor because it relaxes the uterus. There are very mixed results.
