Newborn clothes!?

Babies in my family and his are all over 7 lbs so we're skipping newborn sizes. If for some reason he comes super early or is small then he'll just have clothes too big for him. Meh.

I have 3 cute outfits, and then maybe 7 onesies. I'm not planning on going out too much right at first, so I'm not worried about getting him dressed to the nines every day

I have 5 NB sleepers and 2outfits everything else from 0-3  

Don't get too many. I had a bunch of newborn clothes for my second baby and even premature she weight 8 Lb 13 oz. so she didnt fit into ANY of them. 

My son was Born weighing 7lbs 10oz and 20in long he was in newborn for about a month. My daughter was born weighing 6lbs 7oz 18in long and was in newborn for almost 3mths. It depends on how your baby grows. My son was always in the 95th percentile with my daughter is in the 41st percentile. 5 newborn outfits should be good and a few sleepers. 

I have 7 newborn onesies, 5 newborn pjs, 2 newborn pants and a pair of newborn shorts 

Since it will be warm still I am not worrying about having too many newborn outfits because they grow out of them so damn quick. My shower is next weekend and I anticipate a lot of clothes and people like to buy the small baby stuff but I plan on returning most of it so I can use the credits for the bigger clothes when I need them.

I got clothing lots for free from coworkers who have had kids before, I bought 1 outfit and my mother bought a clothing lot off kijiji for 20$... I have enough clothing for 0-12 months... I'm waiting for my SO to pick up a dresser or shelf before I clean and sort them by size though, right now I have them sorted by colour in preparation for laundry... I'd say about 6 full loads of clothing including 2 winnie the pooh winter suits

It's hard to know since you don't know how big baby will be! My baby ended up needing preemie clothes for the first week (she was full term! Just little) and then stayed in newborn clothes for 3 months. I would say get a weeks worth. 7 onesies, 7 Jammie's or one piece outfits, 7 shirts and 7 pants. You can always return anything you don't use or buy more if you need them longer! 

I had 4 new born sleepers and the rest was 0-3 months.
