Too early to see a sac?

Question

I went to the doctor today to confirm my pregnancy and it was confirmed. I got my first BFP Sunday so I should be 4 weeks and 2-3 days. Well they did an ultrasound as well and they saw nothing. They said it's too early to see anything but it still made me nervous. I go back next week for a repeat ultrasound and blood work. Am I stupid for being worried about not being able to see a sac? I just want everything to be okay. 😣

I'm surprised they even did one that early, 4 weeks is super early. Give it another few weeks, they didn't see mine until almost 7 :)

You have to be at least 7 weeks before anything shows up on the ultrasound.

Usually they don't try till 7-8 weeks because it's too soon to see something.

My doctor wouldn't even do my ultrasound before 10weeks. They told me it causes unneeded stress when the moms (parents) can't see anything or if the baby is too small for heartbeat. Or if they have the estimated measurements wrong, and you're not as far along as you thought. So they try to wait so everything can be seen and recognized. I wouldn't worry too much :)

If these faint BFPs are real they will do an ultrasound right away too bc we did IUI and I'm prepared to not see anything

There won't be anything til the hcg is over 2000, which is usually a round 5 weeks...and even then, it's a speck
