Swelling in only one leg? Anyone else? 29weeks 1day

So last night when I got up to pee my hips started to have sharp pain in them. I noticed that today it was really hard to walk around and then when I went to go up the stares I couldn't even straighten my leg that well, so I asked my husband if my left leg looked more swollen then my right. He felt them and was pushing on them and said yes my left calf and ankle were more swollen then the other... I did a no no and looked it up on the Internet and of course it said I should call my doctor and that it isn't normal. So I called a doctor who is a family friend(heart doctor) and he said that I have nothing to worry about. But should I still go in tonight(doctors office is closed, so I'd have to go to ER). Or just wait and call in the morning? Has anyone else had the same experience? 29 weeks and 1day pregnant.

Try drinking lots of water and keeping your feet elevated above your heart. If hubby can run out and get you some coconut water, that always helps me. My doc also had me lay on my left side every hour for 15 minutes to help with blood flow. If you are still feeling swollen in the morning or after noon or it's not helping, I'd call the doctor. They may suggest compression socks.

I had my legs would be painful but never swollen. I mostly likely had DVT but never got it checked out but I ended up having a pulmonary embolism during labor. If you can I would say got to the ER to get it checked out and maybe they will do a Doppler

Urgent care for one or ER ----> all these options if they are red or painful.  Maybe DVT or any additional symptoms. If no other symptoms but just a swollen leg then call to see in am. Ur MD friend advices you already so medical attention cause you said something about hip pain???
