Help me

I'm not sure how to feel, So Imma need some advice I'm 18 and I have a interest in one of my older close friend of mine, named Krill he's 30, he has kids and he's single i have other male friends that know him longer then I have and they all tried to hook up with me and when this interest got to them they jumped in my inbox sayin "he doesn't want you bam" or " he just wants sex from you bam"  so I got mad and left everyone on seen and soon I found out that krill never said none of that (thank god for screenshots) so I'm between the options of sayin fuck it and just walkin away from this or staying and working on this.... There's more to the story tho 😳
