Are you ttc in secret or does everyone know??

Question

The hubs and I have been ttc for awhile now but we haven't told anyone and if we do get pregnant we are planning to wait until almost 12 weeks to reveal (when threat of miscarriage is lower). Mostly everyone that we know thinks we are anti kids. We have been together 8 years and we love to travel, buy a house, just be together. But now we are ready for a baby. Is it common to conceal the "baby making" news? Or do people usually know? Just curious on what others have done/ are doing.

My Husband and I are keeping our TTC Journey a secret until we're pregnant. We feel that others may place unintentional stress or pressure on us... I am keeping a journal, that way, I can look back on it all some day :)

We only told people we were trying as we lost our last baby, so family knows we have been even though they told us to stop as we get married next July but we are currently 8 weeks 🙂, not told anyone yet!

We have told people. We started trying almost 2 yrs ago and I was getting sick of dodging questions about when my little girl was getting a sibling while I was on my own little monthly emotion roller coaster. So I just started being open about it and everyone stopped asking. So for us it was the right choice, plus I'm rubbish at keeping fun stuff like that secret :) good luck to you!

Only one co-worker/friend knows (who was surprised and spoke rather loud when i told her) now Im beginning to think the rest of my co-workers know too 😆 but none of my family know. I want it to be a surprise since i am the last person they would ever guess is pregnant or wants to be a mommy. 😊🙏🏻

No one knew we were trying, I have pre-existing medical conditions and we did not want everyone in our business. When we did get pregnant we waited until 12 weeks to tell family. One, because it felt safer and two, my mom cannot keep a secret to save her life and we did not want to whole world knowing before I was 12 weeks. It's all up to personal preference though! Whatever makes you and your partner comfortable!

My parents know we want kids but they don't know we're actually trying. They'd have a fit. His parents are bonkers and don't even want is sleeping in the same room before marriage. The only person that knows we're actually trying is my pregnant best friend
