How do you look good & shower daily as a brand new mom?

So my husband is a gem--he's pretty indifferent to if I'm in a dress or sweats. However I've seen new mamas with their hair, make-up, nails done and real clothes on!

How do you manage it all? Between nursing or bottle feeding, cleaning up, washing yourself, washing the baby, cooking etc.?

My two month old looks better than I do most days lol

Agree! Some days I think so I need a nap or shower more today! 😆 when I do take a shower I have to rush so most the time I don't even shave my legs or anything. Baby always looks way more put together than me. My poor hubby. Hair back, yoga pants, no make up and hairy. One day we will be able to do it all. The multi tasking is real.

Can I just say every mom that I've come across and had the chance to talk to that is perfectly made up has a nanny or au pair. So don't worry, haha, us moms that are on their own it's just a little harder to find that time to shower and do makeup

I actually started getting in the bath with baby. She's much happier and it's easier for me to wash her. Then dad comes and gets her to get her ready for bed and I bathe myself.

House cleaning and hair and makeup are still on the back burner most days. I try to catch up once my husband is home by letting him have a lot of bonding time while I'm cooking and folding clothes...but that doesn't happen every day.

I totally think the baby has a lot to do with it too! My little is honestly most of the time a happy lil thing! So, once she dozes off I do a quick shower and then if awake I put her on her Boppy on the counter or slide her rock and play in and bounce her with my foot while I slap on some quick makeup. I also make that time my four year old electronic time, so usually she'll do abc mouse or pbs then. I don't feel guilty about it, I need to get around too and my kids are always taken care of too so I see nothing wrong with it. That being said I am not going to b dressed and done up to the nines by any means tho either!

I'm lucky enough that my baby naps often and mostly sleeps through the night, so I rarely need a nap myself. I get everything done during these naps.

Nap #1, around 8am: Drink a cup of coffee in peace, make the bed, put on clothes (yoga pants and tank top), do my hair, do my makeup if there's still time

Nap #2, around 10am: Eat breakfast, drink another cup of coffee, wash the bottles, load/unload the dishwasher, read the news online

Nap #3, around noon: Do laundry, eat lunch, etc.

And so on. I shower at night. But I do consider myself lucky that my LO sleeps well in his crib without me. That's the only way things get done.

Once my little guy is fed & happy, or falls asleep, I jump in the shower.  Most times I bring his bouncy chair into the bathroom with me & have to shower is the door open so he can still see me 🙈 lol but keeps him happy & content, & allows me to get clean!

At first when baby came home from tha hospital and napped 2-3 hours, i did everything during her naps. I would put her in her bassinet or swing and pull it up to the bathroom door and shower and then take my sweet time putting on makeup... It was a confidence booster:) all in all, u just have to start getting ready real early and plan and pack things the night before if u plan to go somewhere

Always try to make time for yourself!  I either shower at night with my 2 year old or during nap time.  I go back to work on August 10 so I will have to shower and get dressed up again.  I have oily hair so I can't stand not taking a shower.

I don't! I showet when I need to (every other day usually, which was what I did before baby too) but I haven't brushed my hair for days. I never wear makeup, never really did before either, and I don't do anything with my hair except throw it in a ponytail. The hardest thing for me is remembering to brush my teeth and finding time to do my own laundry. Between me doing baby's laundry and SO doing his laundry it's hard to find time to do my own. My clothes don't fit so I don't have very much to choose from so by the time I get around to my laundry my outfits are very mix matched.

I didn't shower daily the first few weeks, but once we got into a better schedule around 3 or 4 weeks, I realized that showering is a priority for me. When my baby goes down for a nap in the morning, I take a shower, dry my hair, and if she's still asleep, I put on my makeup. If I do all of that and I put on real clothes I feel so much better! Once she started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks and I became less exhausted, it became much easier for me to get ready for the day, eat, clean the house, cook, etc. but there are still days where I don't get to clean up or the house is a wreck when my husband gets home. There's a baby, and I can't be perfect!
