Thyroid stories? Success?

Question

Did anyone ever get tested before ttc? If your levels (tsh) were high.. What medication did they put u on, and how long did it take to get pregnant after you started the medication? 
My levels were 18.6 and I have my first appointment mid Aug and I am so excited to finally get it under control, but nervous about ttc, because I already MC once, anyone have any advice or stories?

I have hypothyroidism and my levels throughout my pregnancy were high, up to 9!  I didn't realize it then how important it is to stabilize your levels in pregnancy since it varies with each trimester. I did give birth to our son a month early, but not sure if it had anything to do with my thyroid. I suggest looking hypothyroid mom online, lots of great info about levels and questions/tests to present to your doctor!

My levels were at 8 after a year on levothyroxine. So they switched me to name brand synthroid.  Haven't had my bloodwork done since switching 😬.
