Why is there a telephone in hotel bathrooms next to the toilet?

I know, my husband said there is more important stuff to think about but my best friend and I've been really thinking about that a lot😂😂 
Does anyone know why? 
Its nearly 2am over here but I know I won't be able to sleep without knowing why😂😂😂🚽📞

In a hotel I used to work at we had them in every handicapped bathroom right next to the toilet just incase they were to fall or something and they were unable to get up or something they could call someone

So I looked it up...I went to school for hospitality management and they told us this once and brushed it off as a joke....BUT the reason they have phones in the bathroom is so the hotels can get a higher Diamond rating from AAA (the standard for rating hotels). Its one of the requirements in their Diamond rating guidelines. Its a luxury thing...I thought it was for safety but I was wrong lol.

Well there are typically only two rooms in a hotel room, the bedroom and the bathroom. Maybe someone doesn't wanna miss an important call coming in while they're in the bathroom. Idk 😂
