Heartbroken

Found out on 8th July was 2-3 weeks pregnant! Was over the moon and we was so excited. Last Sunday started having slight bleeding which got a little heavier over the next coming days, went to a&e a few times and just got sent away. On the 19th July this was when I was bleeding at my heaviest the doctor checked me and gave me reassurance. Went for a scan on the Thursday and was told there was no baby to be seen on ultrasound, told me either miscarriage already or baby too small to see yet in theory should of been 8 weeks. Have been advised now to do another test in a weeks time. Just don't want to believe it's true so did another test today and saying 1-2 weeks pregnant is this because hormones still in my system? Just wondered if anyone else has had his happen
