Should I go to the wedding?

My cousin is getting married on September 24th and my son is due to enter the world on September 4th. I'm not sure if I should Say I'm going because there's always a chance of going over my due date... I also don't know if I'll be able to go because I'll be adjusting to being a new parent and might need the time to rest.. But what if I end up feeling good and I want to go? I'm torn right now. 😞

Talk to your cousin. I had a friend who was due 20 days after our wedding last year, and our wedding was at least 2 hours away from our home. I really appreciated the fact that she got in contact with me and said "we really want to come, and I think we can make it, but I don't want to RSVP yes and then not be able to make it." I totally understood because that was close to her due date, and who would want to be that far from home when you could pop at any time. We talked about it, in the end I marked her as a 'yes' but told her if anything changed I didn't need to put in our numbers until the week before the wedding, if she didn't feel like she could make it, let me know and I'd take them out. I think it is always best to talk to the couple and let them know what is going on. Make the decision together.

I would talk to them. We had guest RSVP 6 weeks before the wedding but I didn't need to give numbers till 10 days before. Maybe they could give you a little bit of time to figure out if you want to go or not. Also if it's at a hotel you could get a room there so you could take a break if you need it. We are planning to take our baby to a wedding at 1 month but I know it's going to be a pretty casual wedding so I'm not to concerned.

I'd say don't go. If you go over your due date, that will only be allowed upto 2 weeks past,  so you will not be recovered yet. Also, you'll still have a newborn,  in a room with all those people and loud music..... personally I'd rather stay home

My sisters wedding is 1 1/2 weeks before my due date and is a 4 hour drive from our home and our doctors/hospital. I already had the conversation with her that I may not be able to make it to the wedding she was understanding though not thrilled but I don't know if I could risk it.

Just explain to your cousin that you may or may not be there due to the fact your baby will be born so close to their wedding and reserve your spot just in case you have enough energy to attend.

I think your cousin should be understanding, being that close to your due date. If your cousin is not, then it's not your fault, that's on them. Even if your baby comes on the due date, do you really want to be apart/bring your newborn to a loud party. Obviously talk to them about the situation, I know that they have a lot going on, but if they want you there, they should take the time.
