False labor?

Hi guys I'm 39w 5d and I had my bloody show yesterday and contraction started early in morning 8 minutes apart very mild. But during day they got more far apart and stronger and today I hardly feel any. I'm bleeding little bit more but dr said it's the show. After all day in pain was it just false labor?

I would go hospital and they will be able to tell if it is your show or not, plus if you are dilated, if the contractions have grown more far apart maybe your body is gearing up ready for labour...hope all is well mamma :) xx

As an L&D nurse my suggestion for you would be.... Go straight to the hospital if you have a gush of fluid or leaking fluid, or if you start contacting every 3-5 minutes.. Obviously go in if you start experiencing significant bleeding (spotting when you wipe is okay) or you start experiencing pain that does not go away. 
If your contractions increase in frequency or intensity, you can always go in.  contractions every 8 minutes doesn't necessarily mean you are starting labor. But, everyone is different!

Considering how far along you are I would imagine it's the beginnings of labor.
