Baby carrier advice?

Ladies! Anyone have any input on this? I'm trying to finish up our registry but haven't decided on a baby carrier. Do I go with a baby carrier, a sling, or something like the boba baby wrap? What's the difference? Would it be a waste to register for a carrier and a boba? Thoughts? Thank you!!!

I have both a Boba wrap and an Ergo 360. I like the boba for in our home and short-term and the Ergo for longer time periods or when we are outside.

I have a moby wrap that I've never used (too scared haha) and a Lillebaby and I LOVE the Lillebaby. It doesn't require a newborn insert and goes up to 45lbs I believe. 
Where I live there is a store that allows you to try them all, they will help you learn to use them and you can rent them before you buy them.

I have a baby k'tan for short things like going into the grocery store or around the house of baby is fussy. I also have a lillebaby complete airflow which I love for long walks and hiking or basically anything that's outdoors.

I personally love Tula and Lilebaby when it comes to infant I love the Ring Sling  and my 2 year old loved the soft structure carriers they both have mesh to help with the summer time

Go to a store that allows you to play with them and try them on. I personally hate wraps because I just can't comfortable put them on and feel secure with a baby in there. I got a Tula carrier because for me it was so easy to put on and it's so comfortable!!! My husband doesn't want to wear a carrier but if yours does try to find one that works for both of you (less stuff to haul around!)

I looooove the Infantino Mei Tai Sash Carrier. 
A little hard to figure out at first for me on my own but once I got the hang on it, I never want to stop using it 😂 and only $35 😏😏😏

I think everyone ends up with their own preferences so it can be hard to predict what's best. We have a carrier (Infantino 4 in 1- works great without the insane cost of some of the others) and I have a stretchy wrap. I prefer the stretchy wrap but my husband finds it uncomfortable for his back. The carrier will be his to use and probably used more on days we're out for a long time (trip to the zoo, etc). I'll also probably cave and get a Tula eventually too.

I don't think it's a waste to register for both.
