Is all hope gone? Want to reestablish milk supply

My daughter was in the NICU for 2 months and towards the end of her stay she was diagnosed milk protein intolerant and she had to be on formula so she can be discharged since they "ran out of room". It's been 3 months since I pumped and I want to start it up again. Is it possible? She's 4 months 2 months adjusted

I would contact a lactation consultant but I have heard of people being able to re-establish milk supply after that. A lady at my church had a child with her husband and then years later they adopted a child and she was able to partially breastfeed the adopted child.
