CM question

Today I was checking my cervical position as wel as mucus. TTC and my period was due yesterday. When I was checking it looked like it was orange in color when I pulled my finger out, the tip had a small dollop of creamy (what I thought at the time) was orange in color. When I cleaned my finger first by wiping it off with a tissue it was actually pinkish. Could this just be the start of my period? I only ask because for the last 11 years I had been diagnosed with PCOS, and the only time I ever got my period was because of the pill. But since losing 75 lbs stopping the pill I honestly don't know what it's like to have a natural period. Last three months it has been like clock work, with some symptoms like sore boobs, bloating, cramps, but this month besides minor bloating being tired as hell, and always hungry I have no idea.. And help would be appreciated 😊
