Well I am 13 weeks and 6 days as of today. On Friday July 22, I went and saw the genetics specialist my OB sent my fiancé and I to. Upon arriving we were feeling very optimistic and didn't believe there could be anything wrong with our baby, but we couldn't have been more wrong. As soon as the specialist came into the ultrasound room he began to look around and very quickly had a concerned look on his face. He then showed us a cross section of our baby's brain, there was nothing separating the right and left hemispheres of the brain. He then told us this is a tell tale sign of Trisomy 13. Have any of you delt with trisomy 13?
