Entourages at prenatal appointments

I'm curious to see where people stand on this. I've noticed some women have a quiet a few people accompanying them to prenatal appointments. Sometimes it looks like a SO and parents. Sometimes it looks like they brought a few friends. As long as they are okay with it and the Doctor is okay with it. It doesn't bother me. It's their appointment.
What does bother me is when someone's group is taking up all the chairs (or a majority of them)in the waiting room and the othe patients (who are pregnant) have to stand or wait outside and stand. I didn't say anything  (you never know if someone may have an invisible disability), but I was not thrilled. Especially because I was not the only pregnant person who had to stand.
Has anyone else encountered this?

My husband comes to the big appointments and I go solo for the rest. As someone who works in healthcare I don't see the point.  I understand if u have concerns and want a 2nd set of ears but a whole entourage isn't appropriate for the appointment. Takes away time from others when ur entourage asks more questions and such. Just me but it causes more choas than needed. I understand 1 person but more than that? Not needed.

That would frustrate me, but I would just sit on the floor to make a point. Maybe I'm just weird like that.....

Also super weird that people bring more than one person.... My SO and I are the only ones that go, because we are the only ones that made our daughter. Haha

Mostly just me n my s.o., unless he still has his son. Our office is generally not packed, and there is another adjacent waiting room.

That's so strange to bring so many people with you. I honestly never even seen a husband at my midwifes office.

I know. I don't get. I'm a very private person so I'd never bring more than my husband or mother with me. But hey, whatever floats their boat.

My doctors office has been empty the two times I've gone. If those people aren't disabled they should offer you their chair. They aren't patients anyway.

My doctor doesn't even allow it. I can bring one person though I usually go alone unless my hubby happens to have off work Or it's an important appointment. And only 4 allowed in the room for ultrasounds, including children.
