I think it should be based on the severity of the abuse. A woman slapping a man does not deserve the same punishment as a man breaking a woman's ribs. Same as with the genders reversed.

Yes, why shouldn't she? If someone is abusing another person, they deserve jail time. Doesn't matter it's a female or male..

Depends on the damage done? One punch from my ex broke my jaw and knocked me clean out. If I had punched him u probably wouldn't even see a mark. There is a huge difference. We both should go to jail regardless but his punishment should be way worse due to the damage done.

I think just like anything it depends on the situation and the damage done.... But in that sense I don't know if that would be fair either because more then likely he could do a lot more harm then she could...
