When did you start purchasing big items for baby?

Like a crib, stroller, car seat, etc., and any other more expensive items.

My first baby was due around Christmas, so I knew I needed to start shopping early while we had the extra "non-holiday" cash. We had a crib, bassinet, car seat, stroller and a highchair by the time I was 15 weeks. It just made sense to us to get it all done early.

I had kept my daughters crib for now 7 years I couldn't see giving it or saling it when my mom paid 800 for it. And it's still perfect. I BOUGHT our carseat at 26weeks pregnant after we knew for sure what we were expecting. I have a lot of friends that had boys before I'm expected to have my son and they passed all of their gently used gear, clothes, slings, baby goodies down to us. I can honestly say my whole pregnancy what I have spent on maturnanty clothes, baby clothes, belly butter, prenatles, baby gear, what ever calls for pregnancy or the baby is around $75-85.
