HSG Test...not what I expected.

So yesterday I went in to get a HSG test. I completely forgot to take ibuprofen like everyone suggested, in case it hurt badly. I didn't think it would be that bad since everyone compare it to period cramping. Now can I say, everyone is different. I should've planned ahead. I went in, the doctor proceeded to enter the catheter with the balloon at the end and inflate and cramping, but severe cramping, I've never experienced severe cramping like this before. The cramping was so bad for me that i became dizzy and lightheaded. And then I got nauseous and threw up. Once the procedure was done and X-rays were taken and also the catheter was taken out, I still experienced some cramping but after an hour or maybe a bit less, the cramping wore off. The test results were giving immediately afterward and everything is normal. The doctor claims that there's a higher possibility of conceiving since the tubes were flushed. But I highly recommend taking ibuprofen to help relieve the cramping.
