Bringing LO to hospital to visit Grandma

Hello all. My LO is 10 weeks old. My grandmother is in the hospital. She's had lung cancer for about a year now and it has just spread to the lymph nodes. She lives in NY and we live in DE. She hasn't met my LO yet and really wants to meet her already. She's been in the hospital for about a week now and each time she seems to be getting better, something new pops up: a fever, a urine infection, etc. I'm afraid she's not going to make it. I was thinking of visiting by myself but the thought of my grandmother never being able to meet my daughter kills me. I know my LO wont remember but it would mean everything to my grandma. So I'm considering bringing her for a brief visit. Tje hospital is allowing her to have visitors of any age. But I'm concerned about the germs in the hospital. Of course my grandmother is not contagious but I know hospitals are germy in general. Advice? I'm really torn.
