Question

Do you get a period at all when your pregnant? And if not how long after birth till you have one again?
I know it's a stupid question but I don't know the answer so I'm asking

I didn't have a period after my baby was born, she is one yr old and I'm pregnant again... Without having a memorial period.. I am a little shocked

I thought I had a period right when my period was due, it only lasted 2 or 3 days and it turns out I was pregnant. Period after birth depends on the person. If you breastfeed it typically takes a long time for it to return, but I exclusively breastfed and still got my period 3 months post partum.

I don't know the answer to the second part yet but I did read that most don't get a period while pregnant though it's normal to spot here or there while others have a period the entire pregnancy. My SIL just had a baby at the beginning of the month and she bled for a while after but she had a c section. Not sure what it would be like for a natural birth. Probably about the same maybe a little heavier/longer since you don't get cleaned out like you do in a c section.

you don't have a period while you're pregnant, however some women do bleed during their pregnancies. it's very rare though. and depending on your body, but you usually get your period back pretty much as soon as you get done bleeding post partum. I bled for 2 weeks, then got a break for 2 weeks and then my period came. it's different for everyone.
