So max is about 35oz per day. So to be safe divide that amount by the number of feedings per day. That's about how many ounces per bottle. Then make the same number of bottles as the number of feedings you will miss. I would then add in maybe 3 or so extra bottles in case baby is growing or needs extra comfort, or take some extra frozen milk and tell them not to thaw it unless they need it (that way you can still save it if not needed). My breastfed six month old eats about 3.5 oz every 2 hrs, but each kiddo has their own patterns. I also started her with 4oz bottles to be safe (when I went back to work) and found 3 or 3.5 is better for her.
