Which one?

How many of you use tampons with the IUD? I mainly used tampons and liners before insertion, but I read an article saying that you have to be careful using tampons after insertion because the strings can get tangled up in it and you can actually pull the IUD out. So would you recommend I stick to pads and liners? Or is it safe to use tampons?

I use tampons if my flow is heavy enough for one. I haven't had a period since April though.

It is very hard for the strings to get "tangled" in a tampon. Unless your strings or tampon are constantly moving and twisting, you aren't going to pull your IUD out with your tampon.

The only thing you need to be careful with is menstrual cups, as if you don't break the seal properly, the sudden loss of suction can partially or full pull an IUD out. That's still very rare to happen though.
