How involved is she?

My mom was so excited. She bought a boy outfit and a girl outfit for the baby. She went with us to the ultrasound to find out the gender. She was so excited. We had mother/daughter days and she bought me some maternity clothes. We never knew my sister was pregnant until she gave birth to my nephew. So, my mom didn't want to miss out on my pregnancy. She never once overstepped. She came to the hospital the second she could when I got induced and was there all but a few hours. She and my husband were the only 2 in the room and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

My mom told me she isn't excited to be a grandma. (Her first grandchild) I'm 28, own my own home, have a job, not together with the father but he is VERY much involved so I'm not alone, me and him are very good friends. So it's not about disappointment in the pregnancy. She said she's not excited because her time is too valuable to her to try to split it with a grandchild 😑 and she isn't excited for me to be a mom because she said it's really hard and she knows how hard kids are and she feels sorry for me to have to go through that. Gee thanks for the uplifting support, ma! She doesn't care about the names I picked out, she isn't excited to find out the gender. My mom is a very wealthy woman and does buy the baby stuff (she wants to spend $200-$300 every month on the big things it'll need) because she says she won't let the baby ever go without --- but if I could trade it all back for her love and time and support, I would in a heartbeat.

If my mom were still alive she would have been very involved and I would have welcomed it as a FTM. Appreciate the amount she is involved,if she is involved, hopefully you'll come to better understand her once you have your own.

My mom gets weird about her involvement. She tried telling me that the name we had picked out for our daughter wasn't what she was going to call her by and gave her an entirely different one. This whole pregnancy, she has barely respected our wishes so we rarely talk with her about it.

These are all the things I wish my mom would do with me 😭😭😭. She did buy her grand baby his car seat, stroller, bath tub, diaper bag, kangaroo and has gone to 1 ultra sound but I wish we were closer and she is very happy to be a grand ma to be but we aren't close  because she works ALOT and has 2 other kids 12 & 8 to look after 😔😢

My mom is very involved. She hosted my baby shower,  checks on me every single day,  she can't go to my appointments cause she works but she calls right after to ask how they went.  She has bought several things for the baby including the stroller.  She helped pick the baby's name too. I have 2 boys already and my sister has 1 boy, and my cousin who my mom raised has 2 boys also,  this will be her first granddaughter which is why she's so excited I think 🙄

My mom is super involved but we are also crazy close!! She has 9 grandkids but I'm her first daughter to have a kid so she's excited to be the main grandma this time (not the MIL).

Im 26 with 2degrees and my mom is VERY unhappy about my pregnancy,  she said the most hurtful things the first month of my pregnancy,  she's kinda coming around..she bout the baby a onsie the other day. She doesnt really talk about my pregnancy tho
