Induction scheduled for tomorrow morning BUT

No medical reason but I am 39 weeks and no sign of labor or dilation. I am scared of being too much overdue because of risk factors and I told my doctor my concerns but his alternative is induction. He said it'll be a 2 day process which is cool because my baby will pretty much come on his due date.... BUT i can't help but to fear at the thought of rushing my baby out and ending up with a c-section. I am a ftm. I genuinely asked my doc if this was the best option and he said yes. Did I dig this hole myself because of my overdue fear? I plan to talk to hubby about it when he gets off to see what decision we will make. I literally have a few hours of this day to make my decision. Any thoughts.
