I think it's a very personal decision. I think if you forgive a cheater, you'd need the help of a professional because it's so loaded. My parents worked through an affair 15 years ago, so it is possible. I'm not sure I could do the same ... But you never know.

I feel like it depends on how they cheated. My husband has talked to other girls (not sexually) but inappropriate but he never met up with them. I told him that I have to have all access to his phone and emails and if he does it again I am gone. To me I was really hurt but I couldn't end a marriage with him for that. But I don't think I could ever stay after he had intercourse or even had any physical contact with them.... I still don't fully trust him however i haven't found anything since.

That really depends. Not all cheating situations are the same. If it was the first time and my partner seemed truly contrite, then I might forgive them. If it was a second offense, or I didn't see my partner making any lifestyle changes, then no.
