24 Protein Test? Things to avoid before?

Question

I just read to avoid fruits and tomatoes and tomato products. Also, not to take Tylenol or cough syrup, which I planned to tonight. Did anyone's doctor tell them to avoid these things, mine didn't but I read this on numerous medical sites, doing these things can make your result incorrectly high. Anyone receive any information like this? Thank you!

I did the 24 hour protein test and didn't have to change nothing.

You should be following your normal routine and diet. If you pass the test because of change of diet and then go back on it you could be causing a risk from hiding protein. Jmo

Protein or sugar? If they are testing for protein it's because of fear of pre eclampsia which I don't think anything you're  eating (aside from salt) would affect that. Has your bp been high or swelling?

Just do what you normally do. Call your dr about the meds.
