I'm a FTM and I am nervous about giving birth but I like researching and knowing as much as possible about the birth process. I have come to understand that you can choose to get an episiotomy to lower your chances of tearing naturally.

If anyone has experiences from one or the other or both I would love to hear about them. How was the pain? How was the healing process? Etc.
